This webinar walks through the origins of Caring Contacts, showcases Vibrant’s six-week email programs, and spotlights how Alaska built its own statewide version, offering a clear look at how this model supports connection and hope.

Connected Through Care: 988 and Caring Contacts

The webinar begins with a brief historical overview of the Caring Contacts concept, explaining how it was developed to address feelings of hopelessness and social isolation. Then, presenters from Vibrant Emotional Health begin their segment on the organization’s Caring Contacts program. These are six-week email campaigns. Users select a program from various options, which currently include: Coping Tools, Distractions, Connections, and Men’s Mental Health. Following their presentation, the Executive Director of the 988 contact center in Alaska presents on the development of Caring Contacts for Alaska, which was created and customized to meet the state’s unique needs and delivered by their statewide 988 center. The webinar concludes with a brief Q&A session.
