Sustainable Funding for the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

Currently there are ten states that have 988 legislation with fee mechanisms: California, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, and Washington. Several other states are attempting to pass legislation to also accomplish this.


K-12 Suicide Prevention

Some elected officials are trying to pass legislation to include the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline information (call, chat, and text) on student IDs for students in grades K-12, as well as adult students in colleges and universities.
