Are there 988 Lifeline print materials that I can order?
Yes. 988 Lifeline posters, wallet cards, and other print materials can be ordered through the SAMHSA store. PDF versions are also available on the SAMHSA website. 988 print materials are free to the public. All orders must be placed via the SAMHSA store – Vibrant does not take orders or ship print materials directly.

How is 988 different from 911?
The 988 Lifelines provides free, confidential support for people experiencing mental health, substance abuse, or suicidal crises. 988 focuses on listening and support first. In most cases, 988 counselors can help people stay safe without involving any emergency services unless there is immediate danger.
911 is for emergencies that require immediate police, fire, or medical response.
